We are currently open for Family Camp and accepting reservations for those who are members of a WELS or ELS congregation. We are taking extra steps to help prevent the spread of the virus and we ask you social distance with groups not in your household. Along with that effort, the summer kitchen (where most of the refrigeration is located), will remain closed indefinitely, so please plan accordingly.
Family Camp offers an opportunity for families and brothers and sisters in Christ to connect and reconnect in a natural environment while enjoying fellowship and strengthening their faith in their Savior. Families and friends can take advantage of all the activities on the camp grounds such as hiking, swimming, fishing, canoeing, and other outdoor activities. Family camp exists to give those utilizing it rest, relaxation, and fellowship with others in the same faith. Camp Croix is there to support those in these endeavors, equipping Christians to grow in their faith in Jesus Christ.
When the Bible Camp or retreats are not utilizing the facilities, they are available to rent. You can rent cabins individually or by the group and the entire lodge. You can also rent the Red Cross building, which is the year-round cabin on site. The pricing is below. If you are interested in reserving facilities for family camp, please visit our Register page for additional information. Since Camp Croix is part of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS), any activities not in agreement with the teachings of the WELS are prohibited. Camp Croix is not open for public use and only those who are members of a WELS congregation, or those in fellowship with WELS, can make reservations. Click here to view Camp Croix’s usage policy.
Camp Croix has 35 rustic cabins that are spread throughout the grounds with the capacity of four people per cabin. Each cabin has two bunk beds, 1-2 dressers, clothes bar, and table and chairs. They do not have bedding, so you are responsible to bring it yourself. The cabins are numbered and are in two different groupings in the camp. They are not heated, but are nice and cozy in the summer and fall.
The cabins offer a great opportunity for groups to experience the north woods of Wisconsin, but be out of the elements when needed. Groups can reserve a set of cabins next to each other and have fires in the fire pits outside at night. We try to accommodate any requests, but please understand we like to keep groups together. Please visit the Register page to reserve cabins. To see how many cabins are available, please visit the calendar link below.
